ROOTED IN A CENTURY OF ADVOCACY

As a local of MTS, FLBTA is part of a long tradition of teacher advocacy in Manitoba. Since 1919, MTS has worked to protect teachers' rights, improve working conditions, and support public schools. What began with 17 teachers meeting in a Winnipeg gymnasium has grown into a province-wide union and professional organization representing over 16,000 educators.
